RELATIONSHIP & COUPLES THERAPY | NEW CANAAN & ACROSS CT & NY
Healthy boundaries. Meaningful connection. True authenticity.
Couples and individual relationship therapy in-person and online.
Lately, no matter how much effort you put in, nothing changes.
Relationships are never easy, but you never expected things to feel quite this hard. You’re struggling with feeling connected, understood, and able to express yourself in ways that feel true to who you are. But the more you try to fix things, the more stuck you feel.
-
The negative cycles you’re caught in make the future of your relationship feel uncertain. You might be lying awake at night replaying conversations, wishing you'd handled things differently, or frustrated that you always find yourself agreeing to things you don’t actually want to do. There is a sense of resentment building as your partner and you continue to be on different pages, and both emotional and physical intimacy are suffering.
And when you’re in the dating world, it’s hard to stay motivated when the type of relationships you have never seem to go anywhere meaningful.
-
The constant people-pleasing is leaving you drained. Maybe you have difficulty making or sustaining friendships, so establishing boundaries feels hard because you don’t want to risk hurting any of the relationships you already have. But it’s still a lonely feeling when no one really knows the “real” you. It all might affect how you feel with loved ones—not fully present, always somewhat disconnected or distracted.
You’re seeking guidance to break free from these cycles, communicate more effectively, and find healthier ways to connect. Ultimately, you want to discover a sense of peace and fulfillment in all of your relationships.
I work with individuals & couples who…
Feel constantly criticized or judged by their partner
Don’t feel connected to their loved ones right now
Wish they would’ve said or done things differently all the time
Feel unable to be emotionally vulnerable with someone
Struggle to make new friends
Have trouble setting and keeping boundaries
Don’t know what a healthy romantic relationship really looks like
Find intimacy with their partner difficult
When our relationships are out of sync, it disrupts our own sense of peace.
How it works
Relationships are the lifeblood of our lives—shaping how we feel, connect, and grow.
In our work together, we'll explore the dynamics of your relationships—whether with a partner, family, or friends—to help you create the kinds of connections you truly want. We’ll start by looking at your current relationships, helping you identify what’s working and what’s not. You’ll learn about setting boundaries that feel right for you so you can protect your peace, your values, and pave the way for deeper, more authentic connections with the people who are most important to you.
For those navigating the dating world, I provide guidance to build confidence, recognize red flags, and identify what a healthy relationship looks like for you. If managing emotions is a struggle, I can offer practical tools, like mindfulness exercises, to manage difficult moments and respond in ways you can feel proud of.
In couples therapy, I use an integrated approach, combining Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and a relational Gestalt approach to help you and your partner effectively express your feelings to each other in the present moment. This supports you in building a deeper understanding of each other's emotions and intentions, fostering resilience and a stronger, more connected relationship.
No matter what your relationships look like or the experiences you’re having, I’ll be here as your guide, believing in your ability to grow, heal, and find deeper connection.
